Hiermit möchten wir euch über den Wechsel in der GBC-Verantwortung für ISKCON Deutschland, Österreich, die Schweiz und Liechtenstein informieren.

M. Dina Sharana Devi Dasi (ACBSP) hatte bereits im vergangenen Jahr nach über zwei Jahrzehnten unermüdlichen Einsatzes für das Deutsche Yatra ihren Rücktritt als GBC Zonal Secretary eingereicht. Beim diesjährigen GBC-Meeting im Februar in Mayapur wurde dieser nun offiziell bestätigt.

Als Anerkennung ihrer Leistung wurde M. Dina Sharana Devi Dasi der Status GBC Emerita verliehen. Der Titel Emeritus (bzw. Emerita für Frauen) bezeichnet einen Ehrenstatus für hochrangige Personen nach ihrem offiziellen Ruhestand

Nachfolge von M. Dina Sharana DD

Krishna Premarupa Dasa (BSDS) aus Zürich, der bis vor kurzem als Zonal Supervisor diente, wurde am gleichen GBC-Meeting in Mayapur offiziell als Nachfolger von M. Dina Sharana Devi Dasi bestätigt und als GBC-Mitglied aufgenommen. *

Er besuchte im Jahr 2016 das GBC-College, diente fünf Jahre lang als Global Duty Officer, wurde im Sommer 2022 von den National Councils des deutschsprachigen Raums als GBC-Kandidat bestätigt und hat den Nominationsprozess Ende 2024 erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Über mehrere Jahre arbeitete er eng mit M. Dina Sharana DD zusammen und wird nun diese Arbeit als neuer GBC weiterführen.

Ein besonderer Dank gilt M. Dina Sharana DD für ihre jahrelange Hingabe an Śrīla Prabhupādas Mission. Sie übernahm das deutsche Yatra in einer sehr schwierigen Situation, führte es durch ihre starke Entschlossenheit und Hingabe aus großer Not heraus und hat über viele Jahre Stabilität und Struktur ins Yatra gebracht. Ebenso verdient die sorgfältige Planung und Umsetzung der Übergabe an einen jüngeren, enthusiastischen Nachfolger großen Respekt.

Wir danken Krishna Premarupa Dasa für seine Bereitschaft, diese verantwortungsvolle Aufgabe anzunehmen, und freuen uns auf die gemeinsame Zusammenarbeit. M. Dina Sharana DD wird uns als GBC Emerita im Yatra erhalten bleiben und dem Nationalrat weiterhin in einer beratenden Funktion zur Seite stehen.

Krishna Premarupa Dasa trägt als Area GBC bereits heute die volle Verantwortung für das deutschsprachige Yatra. Im internationalen GBC Gremium wird er in ca zwei Jahren volles Stimmrecht erhalten. Neue GBC Mitglieder durchlaufen erst zwei Stufen der Mitgliedschaft (Assisting GBC, Acting GBC, Full GBC), bis sie stimmberechtigt sind. Information on the GBC handover

Dear devotees of the German-speaking yatra,

We would like to inform you about the change in GBC responsibility for ISKCON Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

M. Dina Sharana Devi Dasi (ACBSP) had already submitted her resignation as GBC Zonal Secretary last year after more than two decades of tireless commitment to the German Yatra. This was officially confirmed at this year’s GBC meeting in Mayapur in February.

In recognition of her achievements, M. Dina Sharana Devi Dasi was awarded the status of GBC Emerita. The title Emeritus (or Emerita for women) denotes an honorary status for high-ranking persons after their official retirement.

Krishna Premarupa Dasa (BSDS) from Zurich, who until recently served as Zonal Supervisor, was officially confirmed as the successor to M. Dina Sharana Devi Dasi at the same GBC meeting in Mayapur and accepted as a GBC member. *

He attended GBC College in 2016, served as Global Duty Officer for five years, was confirmed as a GBC candidate by the National Councils of the german-speaking yatras in the summer of 2022 and successfully completed the nomination process at the end of 2024. He worked closely with M. Dina Sharana DD for several years and will now continue this work as the new GBC.

We are very pleased about this successful handover of the leadership role in our Yatra.

Special thanks to M. Dina Sharana DD for her years of dedication to Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission. She took over the German yatra in a very difficult situation, led it out of great hardship through her strong determination and dedication and has brought stability and structure to the yatra over many years. Likewise, the careful planning and implementation of the handover to a younger, enthusiastic successor deserves great respect.

We thank Krishna Premarupa Dasa for his willingness to accept this responsible task and look forward to working with him. M. Dina Sharana DD will remain with us as GBC Emerita in the Yatra and will continue to support the National Council in an advisory capacity.

As Area GBC, Krishna Premarupa Dasa already bears full responsibility for the German-speaking Yatra. He will have full voting rights on the international GBC committee in about two years‘ time. New GBC members first go through two stages of membership (Assisting GBC, Acting GBC, Full GBC) before they are entitled to vote.
